Devin Matthews is a classical guitarist based in Billings, MT and Powell, WY. As a child, she was inspired to learn guitar by her grandfather, who played flamenco guitar in Spain and New York City. She studied with renowned classical and fingerstyle guitarist John McClellan at Webster University in St. Louis, graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Music in Guitar Performance.

After college, Devin moved to Montana and began teaching guitar in Billings. In 2026 she completed a Master’s of Music from the University of Montana. She has studied with Olivier Chassain (Professor of Guitar at the Paris Conservatory) on numerous occasions in St. Louis and France, and has participated in workshops and masterclasses with artists including Ana Vidovic, Christopher Parkening, Sergio and Odair Assad, Jason Vieaux, and others.

Devin enjoys helping young guitarists build an excellent technical foundation and guiding them through different styles of music as they learn their own musical preferences. In addition to teaching, she plays at concerts, weddings, and events in the greater MT/WY area.
